The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Is there a list in existence that gives the Top 10 or even 5 biggest bass caught in Washington?

Most states have someone who compiles and verifies this information with an updated list. I haven't heard or seen of one for this state.
With the "official" record being caught by Carl Pruitt out of Banks Lake in 77' and weighing 11lbs. 9oz.(anyone seen a pic?), can we add to this to compile some form of trophy Washington State catches over the years? Of coarse, this information will have to be validated in some way and then we can see what kind of numbers and lakes have produced these Top Ten Catches.

I think it is reasonalbe to put Tag's bass on the top of the list even though it is not an official record. And maybe a few others that he has caught. But let's come up with some numbers and lakes of catches that are notable and see what we get. Maybe this can be an official Top Ten List for Washington if we compile enough information.

So get out there and use those resources to find out some info. on lake records or large legends and verify them the best you can. Of coarse pictures are the best, but let's see what we can come up with.

Wish you could be more helpful? What are you talking about? That right there is a great start. I figured the list of Ten would be double digit fish and the seperation would be ounces but that is where we can start. Getting pics and legitimate information on the fish will be another thing to do as well. So far what has been put up is almost 10 with just what we know. As I continue to pick peoples brains I'm sure more big fish will come up. Thanks for your help Tag.

I'll get a list together soon to add to and take away from once some other people get back to me.

This is a tough one, J. There have been so many Washington State largemouth caught in the 10 to 11 lb. range over the years, I wouldn't even know where to start. My two biggest greenfish in Washington State are 11 lbs. 13 oz. (calibrated weight) and 11 lbs. even. I weighed an 11 lb. 2 oz. fish that a friend of mine, Roger Davis, caught in the Spring of 2006. Matt Herrera caught a fish well over 11 lbs. in June, 2007. Another friend of mine landed an 11 lb. fish about a decade ago which was weighed on a certified scale and released alive. These are just the fish I know of personally. I have heard of several other fish in the 11 lb. range caught in recent years as well. Wish I could be more helpful.

Whatcha got Tag?
I sure would like to get a start. And you are the guy to start with. What are your big ones that you would be willing to put on the list for history sake?

At least that fish is half way well documented, unlike our state record LM :) Tag's fish is at the top of the list for me.

Great idea Fishnislife.

That's wild! I was just was reading some threads on Bassreasource.com and someone put up info on the Silver Lake Open Tourney. It is put on by Mt. St. Helens Bass Club so I started putting around their site and saw that pic not more than 2 minutes ago. Crazy!
That is one that would make a Top Ten list. Thanks Chris. Let's keep this list going.
Anymore lake records you know about?

Dale Sanders of Castle Rock holds the Silver Lake (cowlitz) record that he set in June of 1971. 10lbs 2oz's, 24 1/2inches long. His picture and story can be found on the Mt. St. Helens Bassmasters website. Here is a picture of the pretty lady...
