My last wish for my grandson losing his battle with brain cancer

My 21 year old grandson was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme, grade IV, the deadliest and most aggressive form of all cancers. He is deteriorating more every day and I would like to take him fishing for a half a day or less. I have no boat but a kayak and he would never be able to get into that.

I'm willing to pay someone for their time to take both of us out in a boat and possibly his little sister too, (11 yrs old) for some quality time while he can enjoy it. He's on his last weeks or 2 months maybe, but can still walk with a cane and has all of his senses. He rarely smiles now, but does enjoy company. He likes to go on outings. I will help him with the fishing as he can't use his left side. Randy is in the wheel chair, but he can walk with a cane. Please contact me at AFflygal@yahoo.com Thank you

We live in the Seattle area

Joanne, I wish you and your family well! I have Friday through Sunday free every week and would be more than happy to help! It looks like there are great people that are already able to help and they will do a great job of making sure your grandson has a wonderful day on the water!! Best wishes and I hope you both have a wonderful day on the water!

Hi Joane,

If you still need someone to take you out I would love to. I can take 2 people in my bass boat. Let me know what day works best for you and I will make it work. Weekdays may be preferrable so that there are less people on the water. Let's plan a few days in advance and I will make sure to get the day off. We will go to lake washington so it is close.

The drive to and from Seattle and a day on the water would make for a really long tireing day for anyone. That being said..if you cant get something worked out on the westside I can make it happen over here and I'm sure we could make arrangments(guys are already willing to pitch in) for a motel locally to make it an easier experience than cramming it into one day. Again if you can't find anything that works out on the westside soon we will get something going over here, my job allows for some flexability so I can probably get whatever day works best for you guys off. Best of luck with the search and again feel free to get a hold of me and set something up if the eastside ends up being the route you want to go.

I should be able to take you out to Lake Washington, don't worry about money, I only work for Sniper Products. I have a smaller bass boat and only be able to take two people.

i don't have a boat right now but i will prod to see if we can get interest to a boiling point. I will throw in a rod an reel for Randy to take home with him along with a good selection of Sniper baits. The guy to take Randy out will also get the same selection of Sniper ! So come on men on the eastside let's get Randy out fishing !

Thank you very much Chad. I will definitely keep you in mind if no one else can do it. How long does it take to get where you are from the Seattle area? I'm wondering if he could make the drive and then be out on the water and then the drive back without getting too exhausted.
