Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

My wife and I just moved here from Nevada and we are very anxious to get into some great northwest fishing we have always heard about. A friend of mine that I am working with told me about this site and said this is the most informative fishing site to look into. We have always fished small streams and creeks but we would very much like to expand our fishing efforts. Anyone looking for fishing partners?

If your into trout fishing lakes, first check your fishing pamphlet for lakes that are open this time of year. Second the Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife have links for hatchery stocks and the days they're planted.
Salmon fishing is starting to heat up with the Spring Chinook run, the Columbia system is estimated to get up to 300,000 fish. My recommendation is fishing the Kalama for Chinook. Call Pritchards Western Angler in Kalama for the most updated reports and techniques guides are catching them with. That should get you started, every bass guy on this site will keep you updated with lakes that are turning on. Where do you live and I can get much more specific.

Hey Cameron,
Welcome to NW fishing and to the Wafish site. My recommendation would be to join a local club and hook up with some of the guys in the area to show you around. What area are you living in now?

Hi Cameron,
Welcome to Washington and thanks for joining WAFISH. If trout is your game, than opening day of trout fishing is the last saturday in April for many small local lakes. If its Bass, than I'm sure we can find you a backseat here in the next month or so when fishing gets good. If its salmon or steelhead, than June 1st is the opener for our local rivers for steelhead, or the saltwater for Blackmouth. And of course there is the elusive Musky. We have got some good sticks here that know their stuff when it comes to Musky Fishing, join the musky group and ask those boys.

Welcome again and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

First off welcome, second the fishing is getting better every week so get readys. I know that the trout fishing was really good on Lake Stevens the other day. I was out with the boat and saw a lot of fish caught while I was out and about. Not really sure about rivers but I am sure they will get good soon. I know eastern washington has some really good small creeks for trout. Bass fishing is my thing so I dont have alot of info on trout. Make sure you join the groups on here that you think you would like such as lakes or rivers etc. More peole will look at the post on those.

Welcome to Washington Cameron,..what kind of species were you looking at fishing for? We have a great bass fishery but I'll let those folks point you in the right direction..cause I have limited skills in that department. Of coarse theirs salmon and trout..we also have a few tiger musky lakes and if your ever interested in pursuing any of those beasts,we have a great community of musky fisherman/women that would be more than happy to get you out, feel free to join us in the musky forum or any other forums for that matter. Welcome to WaFish
