Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I'm looking forward to this great bass tournament again this year. I love the way it's run. Non-competitive and fun. The camaraderie is the best and the crew that's put it on the last ?30 years are great.
I'll be heading over this Sat and Sun for some early season pre-fishing and some walleye fishing while we're there. Craig is going with me this weekend.
Anyone else fishing this event?
Anyone going to be there this weekend?

same results as mark, no fish but great weather. finally started to see some fish moving into the shallows but if we get cold weather again, it can change that in a hurry.

Skunked but just being able to fish in that beautiful weather was great. Cold water temps but maybe this coming weekend things will be better.

Dave,
Mine's a red/white Champion w/Merc pulled by a dirty gray Chevy PU. We'll be launching at the Blithe launch unless it's rougher than you know what.
I'm sure ready for spring.

I'll be seeing Mike when I'm there. Good shop and the restuarant is pretty darn good also.

Not going to be fishing in the open, but for update purposes just got back from 4 days at Potholes today and it was brutal. Snow one day, 40mph winds another and night time temps in the 30s. The water was somewhere around the low 40 degrees mark everywhere and the lake is pretty damn high right now. Never saw or heard of a bass caught in the Columbia basin while I was there. They were doing better on the early lakes a couple weeks ago when the sun came out and it was calm. Give it a few good weeks of sun and it should heat up. We did kill some pretty nice trout though. Gonna give those to a buddy to smoke em. I wish you all luck and hope the weather turns around for the tourney! Say hi to my buddies Rob and Mike in the Mardon store. Best tackle shop in the Basin as far as I'm concerned.

Went down last weekend. Water is still cold and wind was blowing like a son-of-a-gun. Water level was pretty high but I would like to see it up another foot or two. I am going to be down there on Sunday with my partner. We are taking his boat. Its a blue Champion. Say hello if you see us. What does your boat look like?

Moses should be good for both smallies and largemouth that weekend and you'll probably have it all to yourself which can be a good thing.
