Randy (My Old Man) and I will be heading over the bridge to sports radio 950kjr this saturday to spend the morning with Joel Shangle and crew. Here's the rundown from the man himself (Joel Shangle):
This Saturday 6am to 8am on sports radio 950 kjr, Northwest Wild Country Radio. Topics? Oh, brother, the sky's the limit. However, with Randy's local saltwater expertise and Jordan's bass wisdom, here are some subjects I know darn well we'll throw out there:
1). The upcoming openers to the Summer Salmon 'Splosion of 2009: Randy, of course, charters in Marine Areas 8, 9 and 10, and I know he's chomping at the bit to get out there for the July Jag of Chinook that's coming down the west coast of Vancouver Island, headed straight for Elliott Bay, Possession Point, etc. EXTREMELY detailed information on the nuts and bolts of these kickass summer fisheries.
2). The Columbia River FLW: Jordan has a load of buddies who are fishing this $100,000-first-place tournament over in Umatilla. And, guess what: he's competed against every one of 'em and done quite well, thank you. We'll have Jordan's pinpoint analysis of the summer fishery on the Columbia, and several other local fisheries.
IN ADDITION: It's not a NWWC show without an all-star squad of live guests (as if Randy and Jordan aren't enough!). I'll post the rest of the lineup later tonight. Suffice it to say, it's the Harlem Globetrotters of Western Washington outdoors.
SURVIVORMAN GIVEAWAY SWAG: Les "Survivorman" Stroud was good enough to provide us with some killer swag to give away, including, "Stranded", the DVD that started the whole "Survivorman" phonomenon; "Snowshoes and Solitude", the killer DVD story of Les' yearlong departure from civilization with his family.
