Hey guys...
So my dad, my brother, and I headed out to Silver Lake, (Spokane County), for some bass and maybe a musky. We started off by getting just a couple bites, nothing much, so we moved to the other side of the lake, and my brother had one small bass on for a couple seconds, but then it got off. We decided to head back to the launch and eat some lunch. After that, we headed for a cove almost straight across from the launch. We were fishing in there for a few, when i hear my brother yell, "no!!!" He had his spinning rod behind him leaning against the wall of the boat. He was using his baitcaster when he hooked the eye of his spinning rod, and casted it out of the boat into the water. You would think the rod would be easy to find, since we were only in about 6 feet of water, but nooooo... There was a lot of weeds on the bottom and about 4 feet of silt under that. All we could do was watch his rod get eaten by the lake. After about an hour of searching, we gave up and finally headed home. So if any of you guys are ever out there and snag a Cabelas pro guide with a Mitchell Spinning reel on it, send me a message! lol what a day...
