Hopefully some of the tri-cities guys can chime in on this.  I have never been there before so where does a guy stay down there?  Do most get a hotel in the tri-cities area and drive to Umatilla in the morning or are there places to stay in Umatilla.

Thanks

Would like to know myself. Right now the plan is to stay in tri cities and head over in the morning.

I would stay in tri cities. The only other places nearby would be Hermiston or Boardman.  I can't tell you how long the drive would be, but you would have way better options in Tri Cities.  Kennewick is closest.  There are a few on the South end of town off of hwy 395 and 27th ave .

Try the "Riverside". It's in Umitilla.

LOL.  Bring hand sanitizer

Desert River Inn has new ownership, and I believe they changed out all the carpet and new paint.
Did a quick google search of the "riverside" looks...comfy

haha, it's like choosing between the Honey Bucket...or the bushes. Not a hard decision here! Sleep at the boat ramp?

While the Riverside has a nicer location... Dont forget that hermiston oregon is only 12 miles from umatilla and there are several hotels where you wont step on a rubber while checking in.

Oxford suites there is probably the nicest.
