OK - So what you are saying is $ per use?
Anybody want to buy a boat, lures, rods, reels........
Ronald Hobbs, Jr. said:Yes you could do without one I have but I wish I had one. I think my next boat will have atleast one.. for sure! As Tag said there are so many applications you could use one for, but I think you should fish a ton in order to warrant the purchase of one. I usually break down these larger purchases in how much they cost per use. example if the powerpole costs $2000 and you only use it 100 times it costs $20 per use. You now ask yourself is it worth it.

Jon it makes sense, some people are willing to pay more $ per use than others. Everyone has a different level of what it is worth to them. I think I would gladly pay $20 per use for a power pole and others would say that I was crazy. I think this should be used as far as larger purchases that you may or may not need not the things you do need such as rods reels line lures. You have to have those in order to fish comfortably you don't need a power pole or side imager or camera.
Obviously the longer you have an item the cost per use goes down.

One other thing to consider when listening to some of the people out there. Many of them have agendas. There are plenty of "pro staff" guys who want you to buy the same boat from the same guy as them because of kick backs and discounts that they get. You need to wade through the sales pitch's to get to the real information. I don't think that there is really a poorly made boat new at a dealership right now. Well, unless you go to a bayliner dealership. But, at least Force outboards went away!
