The 2017 Banks Lake Open, hosted by The Banks Lake Bass Club, on Banks Lake is August 5th and 6th. It's a low key, fun team tournament with a $150 entry fee. The state is proposing only allowing single point barbless hooks on Lake Sammamish from January 1 through April 30th in order to increase the survival of incidentally caught kokanee. The use of all baits with treble hooks would not be allowed. All hooks would have to have the barbs removed. I don't believe the state has any data on incidental catch of kokanee by bass fishermen during this period. The state has a proposed regulation change for 2013 and 2014 that will remove limits on bass ( only 3 over 15 inches) on the Snake River and the Columbia between the McNary Dam and the Chief Joseph Dam. Not only will this allow these areas to be fished out but the next step will be the entire Columbia and then finally inland lakes.
