Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Im looking for some info on Alder Lake? Im heading there this weekend for the first time and am wondering if anyone that knows the lake could give me a little bit of advise on where to go and what may work there for bass, largies or smallies?

Thanks,

I like this lake but I don't know much about the best productive spots. Its very large and I have much to learn. I have had moderate success around the Rocky Point area for smallies using tubes and the Rapala X-Raps. A few largies caught burning a spinnerbait in the bay near Alder Cutoff Rd and Mountain Highway. There are many great areas on this lake but maybe someone can jump in here and get you a better idea but these are a couple of ok spots.

Best of luck out there and enjoy!

You should be able to find some smallies on beds, and largies willing to bite! Alder Park has a great launch. I would focus on shallow parts of the lake. In other words, fish east of the launch, and stay out of the main river channel. I don't know what the water level is, but fishing stumps in 4-8 feet of water with jigs usually works good. You should be able to find some bedding smallies by the swimming area, and around the point strait across from the launch.

Hey thanks, this helps me out alot. Otherwise i would be just cruising around the lake aimlessly! Alder looks like a cool lake im pumped to check it out!

You camping out there? If you get hungry, try Scale Burgers in Elbe but they only take cash.

I might cruise up there this weekend if I don't go after muskies. Thanks Chad for the info.

Good luck out there Collin
