Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I don't know who this "John Cambis" is.  Probably T-Bone re-visited, but beware.  He will pm you looking for help to get on fish.  He and his trusty backseat gremlin, pictured below, may look to make Bass chowder out of your favored quarry.

Which begs the question.....  I love helping people catch fish.  I've put little girls on fish and old men on fish.  I don't discriminate.....but when it comes to the internet, how many people do you guys think look at this site with intent to kill bass?, and how much info is too much?  How do you make sure that a seemingly nice guy probing for info isn't a bass killing maniac?

If you don't know there, is a lot of smallmouth being thrown in bushes these days by salmon anglers who hate bass in the rivers.  There are guys who would love to learn how to find bedding bass, and catch and take.

Just figured I might put this up for discussion since Mr. Cambis didn't like the way the previous thread was going, so he deleted it.

I don't like where this is headed...

Next thing you know you'll be tapping your toe under the bathroom stall - isn't that how you and Bess started fishing together?

I shared some information with you last year through PM but only because I felt like I knew something about you despite having never met you.

Josh,

I fished that tip you gave me on 4 different days....  You are right, real info is hard to find.

Jon- you know Mike's maiden name was Craig.

Jake- Are you saying that my tips stunk?

Honestly, the only info I would consider sharing online is techniques or baits. The internet is a hot spot killer. People who put the time and effort in to find their own spots either respect or learn to respect the sport. Even when I was starting, it seemed rude to me to ask people directly for their spots, it's their spot, they worked to find it, and if I work hard I can find my own. Also, I think using these forums to find fishing partners/mentors is a great idea. I've met some really cool people, learned a ton, and had a blast fishing with fellow anglers met on forums. Meeting in person is really the only way to judge motives and build a good relationship. I would never share my spots with anyone unless it was in person. I think the forums can teach anglers how to break down their local fisheries, but asking for lake specific spots is lazy and I think that's where the line should be drawn.

if any of that makes sense...

Not at all...  Me and my buddy caught 18lbs near that island....but there were 4 huge skunks sitting off the tip of it.

Seems jake the Snake has been fooling guys, making them think He something he is not, I was fooled but I will admit it I'm not too embarrassed to admit it unfortunately some were....
