Fished Oahu (Lake Wilson) about five years ago with guides Chris and his dad. Had a great day fishing in paradise.......nothing huge but a lot of 3-4lb peacocks and "red devils"

We didn't find a lot of options for renting something that floats, so we went with the guided option.

Have a good trip, and try the Spam and eggs at the local McD.

i never new there where bass in hawaii

I grew up in Hawaii and spent a lot of time on Lake Wilson and the little streams that are all over the island. My parents still live there and my dad was a member of the local bass club for a few years. The peacock bass are a blast when they are busting bait fish (20 fish per hour using spoons). However, most of the time the fishing is tough. I have more fun in the streams catching smallmouth. It is total jungle fishing. The fish usually are 10-13 inches at best, but you catch a bunch. See my page for some pictures I posted a few years ago.

Chris and his pops are good peoples.  Not the cheapest option but I'm not really sure you can get on the lake otherwise.
