Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

OK, so I think it would be interesting to put together some information on what the prey of bass is doing at different times of the year.

Crawdads:  What depths do they live at?  How do they change colors durring the year?  When do they spawn?  When are they vulnerable?

Perch:  What are there depth paters during the year?  When and where do they spawn and when are they a primary food source?

Bluegill/Sunfish:  dito...

Othes:  Trout, sculpin, insects, ect...

Let this be a thread that we can share some info on what the food is doing to better understand what the bass are doing in relation to them.  Feel free to post what you know and lets keep the nonsence to a minimum on this please.

I was over on Moses a couple weeks ago staying in one of the hotels on the water and decided to flip over a couple rocks to see what the craws in moses looked like. Besides finding some craws I found a baby catfish about 2 inches long under a rock. I never thought much about them as a forage for the bass and I didnt know they hide under rocks but I guaranty the bass grub on em
