Dead on Ron,
I remember as a kid fishing with some of these GODS. ( Dee Thomas, Don Ivinio, etc ) Once you get in the boat with them, you realize that they put there pants on one leg at a time and throw their baits one cast at a time. Are these guys good at what they do, absolutely. It's there profession. But most GOOD weekend guys like us will catch fish when on them. Learning how to read the water, make good decisions, and eliminating bad water/patterns is what separates the goods from the greats.

Getting help from local anglers makes it easier to make the correct decisions and not waste a lot of time on dead water. If you are in some of the most productive water from the start of pre fish then you are one step ahead of the rest. Ron you are correct the top guys are business men and we all know that a good business man has a great network to people that have the same interest.

One other thing to look at is that fishing is there job if anyone of use could go to work fishing in this case everyday you would be in the same category as the top pros
