Washington Fishing

I haven't made this run before but would like to. Everything I have read says go with somebody that has done it before. With chartplotter and GPS with depths think I would be ok?

This is rather comical. Two dudes splitting hairs about just how fluctuated the water was on a day. 1 guy just touched his first pair of panties in Pullman, and is a jedi knight in the art of "unwadding". The other guy has fished the reach 5 times and saw half the river flush into an upside down urinal.

I think there should be a tournament designed where internet enemies are forced to fish together.

Sign me up to fish with Don Hogue on the river....I hate that damn guy!
I like, Snake very witty!!

They can't help it they are both Dorks!

BTW who really gives a care about feet inches blah blah blah, I have ran it when it has been running at 54, I never read the dam reports I just go, it doesn't change the fact you are their just to catch a stupid fish, miraculously a bass boat can go over a foot and a half of water without hitting trust me I know, so at any given time if you run the right slot you can get to where you need to go without hitting. I have seen it super duper low a couple times, and I chicken out and decide to not cross those super skinny flats, I would go if I was fishing for 100K dollars though anything less then that it is not worth taking the wrong line and screwing your boat up.

So in closing , my opinion whoever is asking, is don't take anyones opinion! Iin the end your opinion and own knowledge is the only one that matters, if you want to learn it, do it yourself, you will know it way better than if someone showed you and have a greater appreciation of accomplishment when you figure it out, and catch a 4 eyed two tailed fish!!

Ron,

You forgot to mention the part where you fish out of a boat you didn't pay for.

I assure you I do pay, It came right out of my pocket both times I knocked the skeg of my old boat. Pretty sure I pay for insurance just like everyone else, what the hell am I paying for it for if I am never going to use it.

My feeling is that if you can't make it to Ringold any time of year you aren't going to make it. The water is plenty deep up to just past the wooden powerlines. I grew up in Richland and had no problem running up to the wooden powerlines. It is just a matter of knowing how to run the river. Now past that you might want someone with you. If you are going up past the Ferry Landing you can get in trouble really fast and there is no turning back.
Pretty reasuring stuff Ron! Go for it Eric...
