Football jig blank?

Sorry to bring upold posts but Lami is sending me a new blank so I am excited to get my football rod rebuilt! But I have done a ton of research on other rods...that SCV rod look good...expensive but good...I'm woundering how your rod is coming around WCCT?

It isn't coming at all yet. LOL. I am actually going with the Lamiglas blank after all. I am just behind schedule. Hopefully right after Christmas I can start on it. I am still figuring out which components to go with, such as handles and guides. I am leaning towards doing the micro guides on it. Not sure yet.

YA I'm going with my lami blank since I have one now, but I dont know what components to use either?????

I could use some help picking guides, reel seats, and handles....

What do you all think about this things fellas?

I used to turn my own cork grips, but I got lazy and sold all of my lathe stuff. I am probably going to go with one of the split grip kits from Mudhole. The Custom Rod Builder(CRB) kits look pretty nice. http://www.mudhole.com/Shop-Our-Catalog/CRB-Custom-Handle-System/CR... It is about as close to a quality split grip as I can find. I haven't built with micro guides yet, so I will probably just have to wing it on those.
