Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

As the new year starts off I start looking at local guest speakers that would like to speak at Limit Out Marine. I try and look for new people every year so it does not get repetitive and to give our listeners some new tactics. I have come to learn that their are lots of great fisherman who can not or will not stand up and speak in front of people. Over the last 10 years it has been pretty much the same core group of guys passing on information and promoting the sport. With that being said they are not afraid to teach a competitor how to catch them or what they use. Here is my list of guest speakers that are local that are not afraid to speak!  Also if you would like to be a guest speaker contact me. If I forgot anybody I apologize the names were off the top of my head. Lets hear what you guys have to say on this topic!

Ron Hobbs Jr.                    Myself

Tag Watson                      Mike Wolsky

Jordan Doucet                   Marc Marcantonio

Mark Maderos                    Jon Werner

Willie Parsons                    Nick Barr

Ryan Brown                       Don Hogue

Dez Ruffin                         Ed Chin

Chris Carpenter                  Russ Baker

People I would like to see speak this year!

Aaron Echternkamp             Dana Steiner

Wes Wezenberg                 Dan Jensen

Taylor Smith                      Marc Lippincott

Jeremy Tripp                      Nick Fitzsimmons

Also Aaron Martens will be speaking at the shop on July 13th put that on your calendar. More on that to come........

Thanks

Chris

I second both of those suggestions!

I see the first one has a representative from the WDFW......who's going to show up and light this guy's ass on fire? Maybe this could be a launch for Dana's political career.

Would love to see Jake's presentation regardless of what the content is - if it's half as thoughtful and witty as his posts it would be VERY entertaining!

I think you guys are off base here.  Danny works for an organization that is driven by Federal Laws.  If you want to provide input, you can do it personally by calling the number below.  You don't get your insiders stuck in the basement looking for their red stapler; maybe someday he will be in a position to make decisions like this.  Do you think they are going to breach the federal dams on the Columbia and Snake river to save Salmon instead?

To review the proposed rules, as well as the comments already received, visit WDFW's website at http://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/regulations/rule_proposals/ . Printed copies of the proposals are available by contacting WDFW's Fish Program at (360) 902-2672.

The website includes information on proposed rules that WDFW fishery managers recommend move forward for further review and public comment, as well as information on proposals not recommended for further consideration.

Not sure I understand your comment.....

However, I don't believe we are off base - granted WDFW's rules are regulations are shaped by Federal Law, but HOW they implement it is TOTALLY within their control. Furthermore, when the implementation of their policy is not based on science or fact, but opinion and conjecture, it warrants ridicule!
