Was on the lower Columbia this weekend and the water is still extremely high. Was very tough fishing so I thought I'd see if the group has some thoughts on high water river fishing.
1.Fished all the typical post spawn patterns that the River is typical for and that have worked on this section of the river at this time of year.
2.Also kept the focus on banks where fish couldn't move back in flooded areas out of range.
3.Paid close attention to tides and water movement to optimize main river opportunities.
4.Fished from Longview, up to the last bridge on the willamette.
Thanks,
Steve
