ok guys i've purchased a few brands of these and so far have concluded they are both crap. the monney minnow and reaction strike minnows. i'm fishing them with a 3/16oz 5/0 gami and the bait doesnt want to swim it just rolls around and basically just doesnt do anything natural. are these just bad brands or what am i doin wrong? at $10 a pop i'd rather just be steered in the right direction. thanks

Exactly what I was going to say. Great minds think alike I guess.

The Basstrix is beyond a doubt my favorite. My favorite way to rig them is with a jighook designed by Rick Tietz (BladeRunner Tackle) especially for hollow belly swimbaits. You can check them out at www.bladerunnertackle.com.

ciao,

Talking about line size, I found 14 lb. Flouro to be supple enough for them, yet cast well. Looking forward to playing around more with the TW Swimmer Swimbaits after getting into swimbaits last fall.
