Saturday I chose to fish a small local tournament at lake about 15 minutes from the house. Fishing there has been really tough with the weather patterns recently and the fact of the fish population. They drew the lake down for 2 years to make some repairs on the dam and the asians were catching buckets full of anything and everything the lake has suffered. Well conditions were as good as they have been all year and I hoped fishing would be really good. I started in an area the warms up the most only to not get any bites, so I moved to another area that I like to fish. This lake is very shallow and has lots of grass and reeds in the shallows. The second area actually is the one place in the lake that has milfoil in it. I was fishing some scattered patches of it when I caught this beauty! She weighed 9.86 pounds at the scales in the afternoon.

Good guess Ron, you know I'm pretty much a spinnerbait whore! Anybody that carries well over 100 spnnerbaits in his boat at any one time it's a good guess of what I'm going to throw!
