has anyone ever pulled a bass out of mayfield?

gonna be there camping next weekend with the boat, just wondering if it was any good. i havnt seen any reports on bass fishing for it...

Fish for musky...its a really deep and cold lake/reservoir.
I know there are largemouth in Mayfield. Can't speak to the numbers and quality these days.

There are a few Largemouth but it's not a lake you'd want to try and target Bass.

Heard there are some very large smallies in there.

Riffe is just 10 minutes up the road. Don't waste time on Mayfield, there are bass there but it just doesn't have the good populations. This time of year, there is sooooo much better water to be on, but knock yourself out though.

Agreed with the comments above. Mayfield has largies and smallies but I don't see many anglers targeting them. Riffe is a better option,at least for everyone else. I can't catch a bass out of there with a $100 bill.
