Moses Potholes and maybe the River

A buddy and I are heading over to Moses for the weekend. We have a pretty cool house on the lake we're going to be staying at, if anyone is going fishing in the area let me know. I'll keep an eye out and maybe a beer or 6 cold.

Leaving Friday- might stop off at vantage to fish the river there for a few.Never fished there before. Anyone heard good things????
Hittin Moses or potholes sat. and the other on Sunday. Should be nice over there and the bite should be alright as well. Need to catch me a fatty.........no Dez not a couple of chubbys on a jetski either. LOL

I have a black with red and silver striped nitro. Give me a wave(the finger works too) if you see me.

Vantage can be good, depending on the water level. Fish from the I-90 bridge to the State Park(down river) on the west side with GP Senko, Purple grub or red craw shallow crank (be careful its shallow). If the water is high enough there is a canal behind the island on that side of the river that can be money. Also try directly across from the State Park on the east side of the river, there are a bunch of submerged boulders. Good Luck!

The one time I went to Vantage, I almost ran up on a massive, mid-river and unmarked sandy gravel flat- way out in the middle of the river. As I recall, it was slightly past the island someone else mentioned, when heading towards the dam.

Thanks for the info.

A buddy of mine told me about the canal if the water is up. And how shallow it gets.

Yeah i looked up the tourny schedule and saw that. I might go over friday and sore mouth as many as i can......j/k i was just going to cross potholes off the list. I don't want to mess up anyones tourny. Catch the kicker fish they have been eying for a week. LOL Hell maybe have a 6ft bull snake hop aboard. Yell and cry like a girl........oh wait dez already did that. Black guys and wildlife don't mix. HAHA

And yes your correct McDouchbag , I have never turned on the animal channel and saw a brother playing around with gators or snakes (ever) ..haha

I was just at Potholes Weds. and Thurs. Weather was not good breezy and rain off and on. Weds. hardly anyone catching walleyes but smallies were good though small. Thurs. got 3 walleyes 2-2+lbs. and 1- 1/12Lbs. saw a lot of bass boats pre-fishing. I think I would stay on Moses with the tourney this weekend. Good luck and take plenty of brew so weekend isn't a total loss!

I am stopping at Vantage on the way there and if moses sucks i'll go back sunday morning. As long as the weather is nice it should still be fun. I'll just sit on the boat and drink if i have to.
