Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I am looking to get a new rod that will be mainly for dropshotting ... my budget is limited so for the rod and reel I have about $150 for the complete setup. So with that, I am looking for a rod around the $90 price tag. Here are the two that I have been looking at ...

Wright & McGill Tessera 7'2"

St Croix Mojo Bass MBS68MXF or MBS69MLXF

Let me know what you guys think of the two and is this a good direction for me to go?

Great info thanks! Zack let me know how the W&M works out for your dad. I am in the early researching of this. I have a setup that has caught me fish drop shotting but know I need to upgrade this set up and got the thumbs up for an early Christmas present ... LOL.
Although I havent used the "mojo" series, I can attest to the quality of the St. Croix rods. I own a few & my partner is has gone almost exclusively to them. We've both been very happy with them.
If you have a reel currently that you can get a little more time out of, and increase the rod budget, I really LOVE my lmiglass xps 702x. I use it more than my loomis.
