Ok here is the question do you perfer Off limits like the Monday before the tournament to start of the tournament or elimimate off limits all together.

As a tournament director I do not like off limits, it is hard to enforce because I cannot be at the lake all week, it is just another unforcable rule that if somebody wanted to break they probably get away with it.

Well for my two cents, I think that local club events should have no off limits at all and in fact if families that want to enjoy the lake after tournament hours then more power to them. Clubs and organizations are becoming less and less a mainstay in this day and age. With the crazy enonomy it just seems like club's should maximize all opportunities to make participation in club functions a priority. I understand that with the larger more high stakes tournaments, competition becomes an issue. If angler's choose to soremouth their fish then... If an angler puts in the extra effort to do their homework ie, prefishing, then he/she odds are greater but it doesn't completely rule out the possibility of luckiness. Like Mark M, my hero, said and I paraphase, its a good thing to fish as much as possible. If only those people who prefished, fished tournaments then the payouts would be a lot smaller. Its a good thing to give everyone the thought that they can win.
