So I got a call a couple of days ago from the Sportsman Show guys. He wanted to know if I could do the seminar's again and also asked about Ron Hobb's and Marc Marcantonio's availability.
So my question is what would you guys like to hear from us. I planned on doing 2 seminar's. One on winter bass fishing on Washington / Sammamish and one on finesse rigs. Neko, Zip, Flick shake etc. Are their other topic's that the guys want to hear about this year?

While your booking my seminars would you mind getting me about 125K dollars so that I can fish the FLW Tour as well!
Thanks Mark much appreciated-

How about a seminar on how we as a bass fishing community need to stick together and get along.

Which one did you attend? I went two the one in Puyallup and ALL of the speakers were awesome. Also they were all local guys who have alot time on the lakes here and on the eastside.I would have rather seen these guys then to listen to someone who has never fished here. I don't remember names but do remember a few items that seemed off. One was there was a kid no more than 20 who spoke as if he had 50 years of experiience, which was not credible to me.
the other was someone was talking about using a swivel on a dropshot rig, however, Aaron Martens (who practically introdued this technique to the US) never uses a swivel on the video he released about dropshotting, and i have never seen a swivel on Bassmasters or FLW shows either.
I'm just not sure these seminars are providing sound techniques or just someone's opinion.
How do I tell the differnce between the two?
like i said, some kid less than 20, and someone who talked about a swivel on their dropshot, i previously mentioned i ddidn't remember names

Maybe you have it backwards, Pat; maybe Bassmaster is a regurgitation of some of the speakers! The article about using Ice Jigs is a case in point.
I did some of the seminars at the show last year, including a couple on dropshotting. I can assure you that I did not talk about using a swivel because I don't; and I can assure you I have also fished a dropshot longer than anyone on the pro tour including long before Aaron Martins; but that doesn't even make my information necessarily useful to you. My point is that you can often learn something from everyone, and tour credentials don't necessarily equate to learning valuable information.
Dez, if I am asked to speak at the show and if they make it worth my while to take the time away from family, sponsors, and fishing, I promise I will cover some jerkbait info for you, as well as crankbait info.
ciao,
Marc Marcantonio
