Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I just saw an ad for the sportsman show in January, but they dont have a schedule attached yet. Anyone have any inside info on who will be speaking at the warm water tank this year?

Yea, I know that both Ronald Hobbs and I will be speaking each day.  It is not too late to request a specific topic if you would like to provide input.

ciao,

Maybe Ron can hook up that Hydrowave and see how it works on those tank fish.....

Seriously though, I'd really like to hear someone speak on seasonal transitions, specifically the fall turnover, and the winter to spring transition: what clues to look for on any given body of water, and the changes in gear and presentation when these transitions happen. The tank gives an opportunity to show different bait size, color, speed of presentation, that go along with adjusting to these changes. I know it's kind of a broad topic, and may need to be addressed as two separate presentations, fall/spring,  but I know that alot of us bass anglers in the PNW spend alot of time scratching our heads during these transitional periods. Or maybe it's just me....Probably the later...

I have been invited again to speak, but have yet to confirm with the trade show folks as to topic and times.

I have also been asked to speak this year. Have not yet picked a subject as of yet.

Sounds like another great line up in the works.

I think you should demo how the Alabama Rigs works on the Rev~Rig Bro .. :-)

Chris , You should really consider talking about fishing new water .

Your very good at Dissecting lakes and breaking down a solid plan of execution as to what anglers should look for during the transitional periods.

I remember when we attended the nationals you were able to keep us dailed in on that lake by the day and even at one point by the hour ..lol     Thats what you do man !! SO TALK ABOUT IT !!

btw sharing is caring ...

Good cause i need 2 seats to sit.

I'd like to see a presentaton about crankbaits.  There is great variety in materials (plastic, balsa, hardwood), lip shape/ length, and sound chamber pitch. Seeing the variety in action would be great.  Hearing Marc open up about his cranking history would be great too.

I will be doing one seminar on jerkbaits and crankbaits; a second one about different dropshot presentations, and a third on frogs, Alabama Rigs, and other big bass techniques (new one for me).  We will see how it goes...

hope I see some friendly faces at the presentations.  Not sure which presentations will be on which days, so look for the program when it comes out.

I will also be working at the Lowrance booth all day on Saturday and Sunday, and I would love to show you all tips about using your HDS and StructureScan equipment.

ciao,

I've always wanted to hear you talk about jerkbaits, so I'm pretty excited about this one! Furthermore, I'll have to attend your frog seminar. I've never been able to catch a frog. It might be as simple as not using the right fly.

A simple piece of red flannel on a #4 Gamakatsu dropshot hook, 1/16 oz QuickDrop. Then a jerk is all it takes (on the line...not referring to wise guy posters)...ha ha!
