Thanks Keith.  The fishing is really tough!  Wes was there two weeks ago practicing and everyone was catching 17-20 pound bags with ease with Alabama Rigs.  The water has come up 8' and the temp has gone from 48 degrees up to 68 degrees.  The fish are as confused as most of the anglers.  They're about to set up on a lot of new beds so hopefully tomorrow goes better than today...Chris

Thanks for the update Chris , Dude tie up a Rapala Crankbait in shad color and make a few cast for ol dezzy  , please ...  Seriously !!

Good luck too both you and Wes ... REP YO STATE :)

Congatulations Chris for making the cut. Looking forward to today.

Congrats Chris Top 14!!! and 4th place non-boater!!! Nice come back!

Headed to the BFL All American!! whoohoo!

Thanks guys.  It was a tough tournament but it turned worked out.  It was pretty cool to qualify to fish on the final day.  Wes told me about a group of smallies he had found on day two.  My day 3 partner didn't feel that he had many fish left so we went after the smallies.  He ended up catching a 13 pound bag and won the whole darn thing.....awesome!

He didn' give you or Wes credit for putting him on fish. But mentions the move.

“The first two days I fished the same area using Senkos. Today, I moved to a new area and started throwing a jig. The lake is up about 8 feet, so I found the lip of where the lake is normally and fished a submerged ledge where the bass were just getting ready to spawn.”

So the dude wins a $100,000 package and it takes a third level tie breaker  of How many fish released alive, and doesn't even toss you a bone.

Yea thats pretty normal steve , and trust me when i say "He didnt mention how he came about those fish for a very important reason " . The rules on the level of competition  (professional) are slightly different than the state level rules .

Congrats again Chris for making the final cut bro and good luck at the BFL .. Dude what was up with those crazy conditions  80+ degrees out of no where ..lol

Slow down guys...lol.  Gilbert thanked me numerous times up on stage but that may not have been written in the articles you read.  You have to remember that the focus of the TBF Championship is to showcase the boaters "pros".  These are the anglers who were first in their state at the divisional tournaments.  Most of us co-anglers "amateurs" are boaters "pros" normally but just not at this event.  I went into the tournament knowing that and it was nice to not have any pressure at all.

Dez, Wes was there 2 weeks before the tournament and was fishing 48 degree water.  We found water on the final day of the tournament that was 72!...crazy!
