Alright guys I'm looking for some recommendations for a wake style swimbait. Also do any local tackle shops carry any good ones?

Daiwa Dead or Alive...enough said.
Troy,

The 3:16 Wake Jr. and MS Slammer are the two I would recommend. I guarantee you will catch quality fish with these baits if you give them a fair run. The 3:16 Baby Wake is a good option for a tournament, limit type bait. Also, the Daiwa DOA has produced some nice smallmouth and largemouth for a few friends of mine.
x2 baby wake, wake jr. Those just flat out produce. I've also done alright on the deps highsider.
thanks guys. I hate wasting money on sub par baits so the info is very helpful

You're going to have to order these baits from out of state.

If you go with the MS Slammer, be sure to get the biggest diameter bait available as they are handmade. I know you could contact Mike Shaw directly at msslammer.com to make sure you get the fattest bait for a specific length. If you order a Slammer from elsewhere, I recommend contacting the retailer and ask if they can send you a fat bait. Depending on your rod/reel combo the Mini-Slammer, the 7-inch Slammer and the 9-inch Slammer are all good options.
do you want a fast or slow moving bait?
