I am wondering what knot or knots you prefer to use. I have always just kind of went with the improved clinch knot but I am going to be trying out the Palomar knot this year for most of my applications due to ease and quickness of tying and it seems to be very strong, atleast according to knot wars on North American Fisherman. What about you all?

dont worry tag I saw dan pick up a dropshot last weekend. i dont know where he got it.
I hooked it in 25' of water I thought I was dropping my dropshot next to a what appeared to be a log. I got bit and set the hook, when it came off the bottom it went straight out to the middle of the lake and sat there. It blacked out my lowrance everytime I got right on top of it. I guessing The way it acted to be a sturgeon, and salmon don't black out your screen in 50' of water, I fought it for probably over 2 hours and finally broke it off.

Dang, Ron, did you get a good look at that bad boy? How big do you figure it was? That is wild.
I don't think sturgeon are known to inhabit Lk Wa or Samm but they did find a dead one in Wa that was about 6 feet long once. I also saw a small one in shallow water once when I was a kid. Too bad you didn't land it Ron. You could be a line class world record holder. :-)
