Hey Sun, I was throwing it on a 7'11" rod with 15 lb. fluorocarbon so I could launch it as far from the boat as possible. It took me a while to get used to that slow lazy S pattern the bait glides in but the fish can't stand it. Often just a straight constant retrieve would work well. Sometimes pausing it for 3-5 seconds would trigger bites as well.
