She fell to a tube jig skipped under a small dock on waldon (south east side). I was on a guide trip and the bass were not hiting cranks. So I was showing them how to work a tube jig under a dock. I skipped the tube under the dock after drifting near enough to make a good cast. As I turned to to explane how to work the bait I saw the line jump just a little. I set the hook and knew the fish was big. The fish pulled line and jumped on the far side of the dock and I got a good look at her and said she was over eight pounds. As she slowly tired I pulled her back under the dock and thru the dock supports. She hung up on one piling for about 5 seconds that seamed like hours. She came free and the guy I was guiding did a great job of netting her.
She was 9 pounds 0 oz. I have lost several bass over 9 pounds on Silver. You just can't make any mistakes and you some times need luck too. She was put back in the water after a few nice photos.
