I have been an avid bass angler my whole life. I've lived here in Queen Anne for 13 years and am originally from Baltimore. I am a research scientist at UW and am a photographer and skydiver. I am embarrassed to say that I have just discovered in the past two years that there are actually BASS on this side of the mountains. I have fished Kapowsin a lot and have done pretty well but I'd like something a little closer to home------like Lake Washington. I'd love to hook up with someone to show me…

There are local spots on Washington and Union that can be targeted from shore. More spots than I have had time to check out. The ship canal can be red hot in the coming months and I pulled more 4 plus fish from there than anywhere else last year. It gets some pressure but not many anglers employ standard bass techniques. Jerkbaits and mid depth cranks as part of a two prong approach added to dropshot and finesse plastic presentations seem to bring the most success. I have had fish in the 5 and 6 lb range break me off so I know some monsters lurk there.
When I think the time is right I will give you a shout.
