Can anyone give a review on these rods? The price is right, and they have a lifetime warrantee, plus they are made locally. Has anyone tried one out?

Really.. Hey chad I got a xs1000 that's the problem it has is the push button... U got the contact info for that repair center it would be much appreciated....

That's the first bad thing I've heard about th xs 1000 reels. I've been reading alot of reviews on Ardent products, and the xs 1000 was one that stood out as being very durable, and having a very good casting distance even with light lures. The new Ardent reels recieved high marks at ICast 2011. The 3 year warrantee is a big plus, and as far as customer service goes, it's all about contacting the right person with a phone call. There are ways to get what you need from any company. I believe if Ardent contiunues to garner more of the market share in the reel business, they gain the ability to serve the customer better.

Email sent with info

They are made in Korea!!!

Also, most Falcon Rods are made in USA, and Custom Angle Rods are made in USA.  Not sure about G Loomis anymore since Shimano bought them.

What part of the rod? Are the blanks made in Korea or are the rods just assembled in Korea, or all the above.   Is Korea the new "Hot Spot" for premium blanks, Dobyns, is another I am also pretty sure alot of Daiwa's stuff is Korean, Who do we have left?  G. Loomis, Lamiglas, St. Croix, any others that the blanks are made in the USA, plus assembled here?

A lot of people think they are made by Loomis

Oh no not the G Loomis topic again..........G loomis is American as American gets! Ron did a writeup about this a while back. I'm sure you can do a search for it, and learn more than you ever wanted to know!

ooops!  Sorry, G Loomis is still American Made

Well, except that they are owned by a Canadian based company. But the rods are still made here in Washington.
