I have a feeling the guy's that caught that bag last year will not be heading back to the same old rock pile but they may bring in an even bigger bag than last year.

I bet it will not take 17.90 for a win at NW BASS this year :/

Sounds like the lake will be full pool for sure  , the real question is "will those fish return too your favorite rock piles "  ...hmmm

You may be correct JP , Paul Hall is a great angler for sure and only time will tell , IM STOKED regardless !

I think the weights will leave a lot of teams thrown for a loop! 20lbs+ for the win this year, and then the lake will go down hill for another 12years....

Did you and Bess get a package deal?

No, just water temp. I am on Brian's semi-pro staff which gives me the lattitude to bust his freezing balls from time to time.

I tend to agree with you Chad.

I think its going to be a challenge personally with warm weather then freezing temps coming in saturday will be a definate challenge good luck to all starting a 2012 nwbass season

Well just to let yall know went out real quick Tuesday (about an hour) just to get out of the house. 3 fish for around 9lbs. They were a lot shallower then I expected. 1 pushing 4 and 2 others at 3. Super fat and healthy that is for sure. Wish I could fish this year but wont be done with Academy until middle of June. I will try to stop by if I can get back in time. Good luck to you all. Hope it stays some what nice for you.

Brian

My father caught 22lbs by himself last September, and Tom Melowitz had numerous 20lb days. Those of you that didn't fish Banks last year during low water missed out! Hall/Turner won the tourny last year with 18lbs, and the fish had a lot more cover to relate to. Water temps are higher this year as well! I aint fishin, I'm just sayin!

I have been hearing from a few people that it is tough over there.  I don't think you are going to see the weights like they were in the fall with the low water.  I could be wrong, and I am a lot of the time.  LOL.  But I am thinking around 15-16lb for a chance at winning it.  I also don't think there will be the number of 12-14lb bags that we saw last April at the first NW tourny either.  Usually 11lbs will put you in a great position to cash a check, and I think we might be seeing something closer to that.  A lot can happen over there in a week, so it could be lights out too if we get some stable weather.  It should be interesting.  Can't wait!!!

Caught a 4, 3 and 1 1/2, lbs smallies yesterday. Water temp 44-46, crankbait( squarebill). Tried grubs for a few hours but no luck
