Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I am heading over to fish Sammamish at the end of the month, and was wondering how the fishing has been? Are the fish on the beds or pre or post spawn? I am not looking to grab anyone's "spot" or anything. I have not fished this lake before and don't plan on fishing it a lot since its 4 hrs away from where I live. I would appreciate just a little info to help make my search for the Smallies a bit easier because I don't have a lot of time over there.

Thanks,

Rick

Why would anyone driver 4 hours to fish Sammamish?...

The fish are all over the place and in all different stages. Water temps are anywhere from 50-60 depending on day and conditions but warming up quick.

I'm guessing magazine articles? But, yeah, I wouldn't drive 4 hours to fish it either. But if you're coming over to get some Dixie"s BBQ anyways, you might as well stop and fish it.

Rick, the puyallup hawg hunters are having a club tournament there next weekend. We usually have interviews from the top 5. It would be a good place to get an idea of what's going on.
