Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I'd like to start by thanking everyone that showed up for the tournament last saturday at Lake Washington. We were pleased to have 29 boats participating in the tournament with all of the other things going on last weekend. As you know we had 2 divisions, below are the results for each:

Basic Entry:

  1. Mark Brown 16.31lbs
  2. Dave Parnicky/Robert Mann 15.78lbs
  3. Bill Smith 15.22lbs
  4. Keith Brooks/Richie Lambert 14.96lbs
  5. Bryan Vance/Al Vance 14.53lbs

Elite Entry:

  1. Jon Sessler/Mike Bess 15.86lbs ($1,500 payout)
  2. Dustin Chaplin/Austin Heyer 14.54lbs
  3. Ron Hobbs/Mike Wolsky 14.36lbs

Big Fish:

Dave Parnicky/Robert Mann 5.16lb Largemouth ($1,000 payout)

We also had a mystery pot that paid out to whoever beat Kelcey (Berto's GF) and Katie (my GF) or as we called them the "Abu Garcia Girls" who weighed 12lbs even themselves.

That prize went to Peter Kline and his brother who both took home Veritas rods. We also gave out a bunch of other rods, baits and stuff.

I had a great time putting this on once again this year and big thanks is deserving to Tito and Stephen for all they did to pull this togther as well. Looking forward to next year. I would love to hear feedback on the format, date, lake, suggestions, comments, etc... for next year. We are open to do whatever you guys want. It's our goal to continue to grow this tournament and come up with unique ways of making it different than others.

Thanks Jordan, it was a fun event.  What made it especially rewarding for me personally was the 3-peat beatdown put on Chad Simons this year.

Thanks Jordan, Stephan and Tito!  Very well run and very fun event!  Tito did an excellent job running the stage at weigh in!  Congrats to Mike Bess and Jon Sessler for winning the Elite Division!  Awesome job and glad to see you guys take it down!

It's nice when old guys like you win every once in a while! Hopefully you gave Jon at least 75% of the winnings for puting up with you for 8 hours. If I only could of caught that 6+lber I fished for for over 3 hours, I would of made you, and everyone else look silly! I would have been sitting with well over 18lbs. Instead I'm the joke, since I didn't even walk away with any swag! Well I did find a really nice spinnerbait on a stump. Thats fishing, I gambled, and I LOST! I'd do the same thing, against the same set of circumstances any day of the week. All I have to say is that was one smart largemouth! I know there was a few others anglers who couldn't capatilize on big fish either. Props to you guys, Mark Brown, and Parnicky/Mann for getting it done!

Great job David and Robert!  I think your secret was the duck pepperoni...  Maybe I should have given some to Chad.

No Doubt! That stuff was awesome!  Had to take a break and refocus on our 5 lber after a half hour without any success.  A few bites of duck pepporoni and a splash of gatorade and it was go time again!

Congrats to the winners of both levels, as well as Jordan for putting on another great event. Already looking forward to next year, hopefully on Washington again.

I think I will ask Mark Brown to be my partner next year...

Good idea! He's obviously got more game than the two of us put together.

Besides, I have a message into the ABU Garcia Girls

2 "old guys" with a full head of hair.  FYI- As Elite Anglers, Jon and I would never waste 3 hours on 1 fish.  In 10 minutes we could have snagged that thing.
