Discover Pass
This discover pass thing is BS. I got a $99 ticket at Sammamish this weekend for not having one. I thought the vehicle pass they give you with your license is good???? So confusing. This pass here, that pass there, that pass not good here, but good here....bla bla bla. I buy hunting and fishing licenses every year, pay boat launch fees, now I have to dig deeper in the pocket for a discover pass? They'll patrol the launch for this stupid pass but not for the bastards who broke into my truck 2 weeks ago. Next we'll have to donate blood to launch or boats.

Its all way too confusing, just tell me who to make the check out to and how much. I don't know what launch is who's and who does what. The whole thing is stupid. Give me one parking stub to cover wherever I park in the state and be done with it. The f'n state already rape5 me for my license so at least I get a little reach around if I don't get dinged for a parking ticket.

The comparison does seem a bit extreme doesn't it. I would say its more akin to a trip to the proctologist. You pay a fair sum of money, and you still get slipped a pinky up your a$$ one way or another.

Today was a good day! I was issued a $99 ticket on 06/24/12 by the Pierce County Sheriff Dept at Clear Lake near Eatonville. I admitted I had failed to display and wanted a court date. I explained to the judge how I was used to keeping the passes in the bands around the visor and my new truck didn't have this. Also that morning my fishing partner launched me and parked the truck and trailer. There for I didn't do a double check. I handed the judge both passes and she noted I clearly had accuired both months befor the infraction. She dismissed the ticket, thought it was rediculous for a $99 ticket to be given at a boat launch to an unattended parked vechicle.

I laminated mine with the discover pass on one side and the wdfw on the other, You would think good to go right! but @ Sammamish I show up and have a ticket that states wdfw passes are not valid. Lame I had to track the guy down and show him but he did scratch the ticket.
