Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

Hi guys, I plan on fishing in the Chambers lake (Thurston county) small boat tournament on 4/20. However, due to spring break I cannot prefish it the previous week. Can anyone give me a shout out on any info on how the lake is around late April? Anything is appreciated.

Not much help on this one from anyone.  I have not fished it in at least 15 years, probably more like 20.  Had done OK on big bladed spinnerbaits back in the day.  It had gotten so weed choked, I stopped fishing it.   Caught my first 20" there.

Honestly these types of lakes dont really hold any secrets.  Prefishing would probably hurt you if you went and stuck a few fish.  Fish will be shallow looking for spawning sites.  I would tie on a jig or "pitchin" bait and just go to work.  Spinnerbaits or shallow cranking between targets may yeild some extra fish as well.  My biggest tip would be a good pair of polorized glasses will be very important to your success.   Good Luck
