Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

humminbird 997si bought new about four years ago always taken off boat when not used and kept inside. Unit still works excellent  and in perfect condition, comes with all the cords and side imaging transducer. I'm asking $800. The Lowrance HDS7 had on my boat 1 year and also kept inside when not in use. I'm asking $500 for it with all the cords and transducer. Email me @  Ifshforbass@yahoo.com

You upgrading Rudy? GLWS

yup

great unit's never had any problem's but it's time I upgrade and as long as my fishing fund is looking good I can make a move. Who ever get's these are going to like both.

Zack what's the Q's that you have?

sold the HDS7

I just had general questions on the humm unit. I've never had a unit with side imaging. I just have a basic lowrance x67c right now. Would the humm be a good starter unit to get into using SI without spending the huge $ on a new unit? Does the unit have GPS as well? Will I need to get any other components to get it up and running? How easy is the install? I'd like to upgrade but want to make sure I get a unit that fits my needs.

I bought this 997 new and it in it's day and today is a great way to find structure and fish. Yes it has GPS and I have down loaded all the up grade's for this unit. This is far from a starter unit you would not be disappointed, in fact when I first got it I found myself looking at the screen more than I did fishing because I could see all the structure I had been fishing for year's not to mention all the new structure I didn't know that was there. It comes with everything you need to make it work. As far as the install, I put in my skeeter myself, don't know how mechanically inclined you are but in the manual it show's you just what to do and not to do. As far as fitting your needs this will do what you want and more. Oh and by the way it also has the down imaging along with the sonar, mapping, and the side imaging.

Sounds good. After doing some research the only real downfall I found was that the motherboard has been discontinued so if it goes down there's no fixing it. It definitely has it all, the more research I did the more I liked it. I'll shoot ya a PM, get back to me when u can. Thx.
Anything can break at anytime. I'm still running my HDS 7/8 gen 1 with no upgrade software. 0 issues...not even the bubbles on the screen. Structure scan also has been flawless...yes the touch units are sweet but I don't make a living fishing.

I have had a few lowrance units that the software has been discontinued and probably a lot of other units out there get out dated because of technology and not to mention its a great way to get fisherman to up grade to a newer product. Like Sparkles says, anything can break at anytime, I have really taken good care of this unit because of the money I had to pay for it. It was quite an investment but I found it was well worth the coin.

both unit's have sold just want to thank Zack and Randy
