Insane results from Northwest Bass this weekend. Hat's off to Cody King and Adam Gross, as well as Boomer/Bryant - I can't imaging catching a 9lber and weighing 25 for 2nd place. But I suppose having won a boat out there last fall eases the pain a little bit. Way to go fellas.

Here's a Picture of Jake Boomer with his 9lber!

Holy crap, 9lbers out of the Columbia!  What a fishery!  Congrats, those are some nice bags.

It is very impressive.  We kind of knew it would take 20+ of green fish, but not being a tri cities guy I assumed that a lot of boats would be down in the largemouth areas and the pressure would keep the weights down.  I was wrong!  We ran upriver and caught lots of fish and had a great time.  The river was as high as I have ever seen it.

Jason and I know when to be upset about our tournament results, and when to count your blessings.  You'll never hear us complain about 2nd place with this group of anglers... ever.  My hat is off to Cody and Addam.  Their performance, and the risk they took to catch their bag was quite impressive.  This was a classic "high risk = high reward" scenario.

Hobbs and Wolsky on the other hand... punks:)  Take away the two unicorn 9lbers and this tournament doesn't have a close second place.

One thing is for sure, the NWBass anglers throw big punches.  I don't think many teams had been on this pool during May in a long time, and there were two 17lb bags that didn't get a check.  Impressive.

I'm off to Costco to buy a pallet of bug spray for Potholes prefish next weekend.
