Classic Snake!
I'm not trying to absolutely BBQ you, but on your youtube channel, you literally have a "tackle give-away" in which you tempt people to subscribe and "like" your videos, in exchange they can enter to win some tackle that you didn't like, use, or couldn't figure out how to get bit on. Its nothing short of subscription bribery in order to inflate your number of constituents that you call sheep out the other side of your mouth.
Look...I'm trying to pass the torch to you. The least you can do is not bath in gasoline 2 seconds before I hand the thing off.
The first rule of becoming an internet Czar is to be honest with yourself as well as others.
I'm deeply concerned about the immense power and responsibility that the internet master of the universe represents. Let me take the torch back for another season, and we'll see if you are ready next winter.

Finally, the force awakens. Been waiting for a fun thread!!
Why don't you start a thread telling everyone that you can skip a bait equally as well as a 10 year professional angler who happens to be the elite of the elite with a spinning rod.
Heck...you could make a video of you attempting a 50ft skip cast into a hole in a dock that is 6 inches wide by 2" tall. Lets see if its worth it. I know, I know...you've been skipping samammish docks for a couple seasons, which is pretty incredible, so maybe you won't get absolutely pummeled.

Just never and I mean never ever tell him you can skip a bait as well as brent ehler. Its just not worth it.
The good news Zach, is that its ok to not be able to skip a worm like Brent Ehler. Nobody can. Besides... one of the worst casters of all time catches lots of fish.
Ron Hobbs Jr.: One time on potholes, he pulls up to Jake Boomer, who is sitting offshore. Ron says "watch this", (as he excitedly pulls out his favorite sunken hut set up in order to poach boomers spot), and proceeds to permanently birds nest a 3/4 oz chunk of tungsten. I didn't even know that was possible. And I'd bet that nest is still in that reel.
We pulled the boat out of the water, and he had so much tard' left in him, that he looked like this walking across the gas station parking lot:
Then...another time at Potholes, he wanted to prove he could cast a lunker punker from the parking lot to the hut on other side of the channel. He backlashed like 4 times until Mike Wolsky had to "coach him through it". "just lob it out there ron..." nice and smooth. "stop forcing it".
He pumped a fist after proving it could be done:
i'm aight been filming for my bro check it out

I am honest with myself regardless what you or anyone else thinks. By ton of subscribers, I mean 100k+ subscribers that some of the most popular fishing channels have. That's not a goal of mine and I really don't care that it's not going to happen.
Doing a giveaway is a small measure to grow your channel and most of the time the people who watch and enter are already existing subscribers. The growth from those videos if any is negligible and it's not really a big effort to try to "get a ton of subscribers". My main goal was to share fishing videos and that's still what I'm doing.
Some of those channels make their videos like they're running a TV Show on YouTube. Refer to themselves as the host. Some make stupid videos like complaining that Daiwa has too many reels and that the average angler can't afford to buy every single reel they make. Or they make dumb videos in the hopes that they will go viral like the dude who made a parody of Taylor Swift's Blank Space by writing a corny song called Fish Dreams. Some channels just talk about tackle non stop without actually having any real fishing videos and get big that way too. Point being that a lot of people go out of their way to try to appeal to the masses and a lot of it is superficial. That's not stuff that I do or am willing to do just to try to gain subscribers.
As far as the torch goes, that's perfectly fine by me. Never really wanted it and don't care to hold it again so hand it off to someone else next winter that might actually want it and use it properly.Cheers
