Tag Watson and Mike Hastings took big fish honors for the 2nd time in a row last weekend with a 6.90lb largemouth. Here's the winning fish:
Undoubtedly these guys are the ones to aim for as the next one plays out on Moses, then Potholes where they won their first one last spring. Goes to show big fish hunting pays off! Congrats fellas!

You make great point Jake. It's interesting to look at the winners of these events so far (at least in washington). All recognizable names... Even when you get down to the hourly payouts, it's mostly people you see towards the top at other more traditional circuits. Although the format does theoretically level the playing field, it seems like those who put themselves in a position to catch a big one definitely still have the odds in their favor (ie. Team Wastings). I'm still waiting for the time when a guy sticks an 8 throwing a senko on the dam at potholes though. It's only a matter of time...

Not sure if you guys realize it, but your team name oughtta be Team Wastings. Mostly because its a blend of your last names, but also because you are wasting the competition.
Custom Jerseys should probably be made, and this is yet further proof that in any format, the best anglers are going to eat the majority of pie.
