Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

I have been throwing an inline double buzzer on my GLoomis MH spinnerbait rod with 15lb CXX flouro. My most awesome guide Dr Bess put me on my first buzzbait fish this year. I just never fished them that much before. The one I got came when I dragged the thing over a log and the LM pounced as soon as the bait re-entered the water. It was a GIANT (almost 3lbs)
What buzzbaits do you guys like? I have several different kinds but haven't used them all yet. Has anyone used the Cavitron yet? Has anyone used those little finesse style buzzbaits?
What combos do you guys like?
Single blade, in-line double blade, side by side double blade?
Black, White, Chartruese/White?
What about trailers? I know trailer hooks are highly recommended but what about a rubber trailer? Would it be a good idea to thread the trailer onto the trailer hook shank?
Rod and line?
Are there certain types of cover you think they work best around?

Is Tag on your "Team" BigBoy?
I asked someone what TGL stood for and the they said it was Totally Gay Lovers so thanks for setting the record straight.
I don't think Ron was wondering what Team Grippin Lips is. I think he was confused by the description of the buzz baits TGL is using. I know I was.
They are obviously just jealous they weren't invited.
Do you have to accept being an honorary member or is it something that is bestowed upon you?

i bet you could get the same results with just a buzzbait or just a frog
Potter both of them... the team and the kermit kontraption, I would like to see some pics, and the thinking behind it..... more weedless.... or do they use a toad? Need pics I can't imagine it since frogs are meant to float I think it would throw of the tune of the buzzer? Kind of odd and intriguing.

I was thinking the same when I was introduced 2 it Daniel,..then after comparing throwing the reg Dbl-Blade-Buzz compared 2 the Bronzeye-Buzz the ratio of hits were in the favor of the latter,..not 2 mention hookups. Helps 2 keep the Bait on the surface and also aids in more weight for casting distance not 2 mention a better/bigger profile in my opinion.

Ron I'll takes some pics and post some different variations of the bait using different frogs ASAP!

Hey Man saw the pics very cool looking and intriguing bait. Does the frog body try to float to the surface or do you use more weight? I have some 5/8 oz. buzzers that I might try with kermie. Has anyone tried a double quad blade buzzer????

Ron,..it dosen't really "Float" 2 the surface per say,..2 me what it mainly does is give a "Better-Bigger-Profile" 4 the Bass 2 see/hear,..more wake,..more entry spalsh,..better distance on casts,..something different for them 2 invetsigate,..the blow-ups and hook-ups are off the scale on these baits,..!
