The day started as so; showed up early as normal for tournament director, after getting acouple anglers signed in I proceeded to drop the boat in after beaching the boat I stepped off the bow blowing my shorts out! Continuing on I finished sign ins and started the tournament . My boat number was second to last so with that I let every one take off as I pulled the sticks outa the locker once I felt I was ready I idled to my starting area where the weather setup up perfect after fishing the stretch for about 15 to 20 minutes the bite came I reeled fast and hard knowing the fish was large swinging the fish into the boat the fish was still hot doing the flop trying to time it perfect I went for the grab bam first hook to the ring finger not knowing how bad it was I knew it was now or never so I went in again bam the one to the thump now locked into both hands and fish I was in need of help looking around I see my friend about 200 yards back so I started yelling for help by the time he pulled up to the boat I had got the fish off some how and detained it In the well now the fun part removal after my good friend opened the split rings and we removed the hooks from the bait I was able to see the damage the ring finger
