I have been using the E series for the past couple of years. Curado and Citica. I was in the store the other day and picked up a few of the new models. I'm not talking the Metaniums or Antres, I'm talking the 70s and Citica. I have been happy with the older reels and have taken the time to upgrade the bearings and gear sets, but parts are getting harder to come by and the prices are high on replacements. Has anyone else made the jump to the new style and left the Es in the past?

Ive got some of both the new an old citica's, I prefer the newer smaller sized ones. Much lighter an very durable.
I still use the older curado e's that I have but I also have a few of the new curados and even the metanium and I can say the newer ones are lighter and seem to palm a bit better. Have yet to notice any sort of issue in durability or power compared to the 200 e's.
I am having no issues with the new Curado I or the Chronarch Ci4+. The new Caenan is even pretty nice for a cheap spare reel. The E models were solid and worked great though.
New technology and improvements have made the new product much better IMO. And if you can afford the new Metaniums, they don't get much better.
The new Curado I, especially the 70 size, are my favorite Curados since the old green ones. Solid reels.
I also like the newer reels!
Mr. Potter back in action. Gotta admit, I miss the anticipation of what his post will bring to the discussion.
