What do you guys do for a living besides fish?

I am an independant investment advisor. I spent the first 5 years building a one man practice and the last 6 I have been practicing with my dad. Most of my career has been in a crappy economic enviornment but I have enjoyed the freedom of being self employed. I would love to fish professionaly some day but I would never give up my first career.

Yes Russ the small business ownership is kicking my butt! There is not much machining work needed right now.

If anyone has machine shop work to do let me know. We have 3 lathes and 1 mill.

Oh by the way India is REAL busy with our work:(

I know what you mean. More manufacturers moving there biz overseas kills my fastener and industrial supply biz.

I am a GIS Analyst, working in a remote office for Rapattoni Corporation. Mapping and MLS software for the real estate industry.

I use the GeoData that David Parnicky creates :) - And I would encourage Ben Holten to keep is licence - If you don't keep paying your dues I will never get a raise :)

I am an Aquatic Entomolgist with a private company. Basically, I identify aquatic insects for water quality monitoring. We get samples from National governments (Canada, USEPA) to private companies (Potlatch Corp., Weyerhauser).

This guy makes great lures. I have a couple of his spinnerbaits I use all the time. Or I should say, had a couple. First cast with one I snapped my line and it went flying. Bad tie job I guess. Oh well. Anyway, great lures!!
