So lets say you are fishing a small lake when the trout stocking truck shows up and dumps them trout in. Is that called chumming?
Christ Almighty...............
Do you really have to ask?
Give a rainbow trout swim bait a try just after a trout plant. The results would suprise you. Just think, a 6-8" SB that closely matches a stocker in color and size... sounds like dinner!
Joel that is not what your post says, you really don't ask for fishing advice but for a more of a biological answer. "Have any of you found evidence that bass eat trout in Washington State?" To me you got a ton of dumb answers and two it really didn't answer your post at all. They don't eat prizm shad roboworms because they think they are trout, are you kidding me a roboworm looks nothing like a trout, either does a spinnerbait or crankbait.
So to answer your post yes the Largemouth and Smallmouth populations of bass in this state prey heavily on trout whenever available. I have witnessed it in both species. Funny thing is they also prey heavily on stocked salmon as well, why not bring this up? Salmon are just as good if not better source of proteins and fats.

Thanks for your reply. I felt this was a topic worth bringing up because its not often talked about. Can you share your experiences throwing big trout swimbaits? I brought this up for many reasons...For one no one talks about stockers...Most have mentioned catching big bass on Bluegill swimbaits, Frogs, Jigs, Buzz Baits, Senkos, ect in our state but very few have mentioned using the BZZ, HUDD, or any other big trout swimbait.
I have also heard anglers say that trout dont act the same here as they do in California so the swimbaits techniques are not applicable here...what are your guy's thoughts?
