actully there is a pump you can get from walmart that works exactly like this. it doubles as a livewell pump too. we used it for our make-shift livewell. it takes but a few minutes to drain / refill.
to do both wells, it took less than 5mins. we drained [or should i say butta drained] them both to 1/2way down every 1hr. we had about 8fish by 10am including a 5lber. they were quite lively at the end of the day.

FOF - all i did was threw everything back you threw at me.
as for the 7ft deal. i keep telling you, just like others have, only for 1 reason. it is for your benefit. 1 day you will either get burned, or 1 day you will be glad you took heed on the advice. trust me, ive seen it happen 1 too many times already and i took the cdn oath never to allow it again.
there was a time i was very hard headed, and didnt listen to advice. as ive always wanted to push the envelope and see for myself, and with my own eyes. trust me, when you do hook into something really big, you want the best shot at it as you can get. am i not correct? you do not want to learn the hardway, as that often leads to heart break. one of the first big feeshes we hooked was on (what i believe to be) a 7ft rod, not to mention on the wrong reel, and the whatever else you could think of. that bitch peeled off so much line, and made the reel scream - til this day i still have nightmares.
