Washington Fishing

The Online Source for Washington Fishing Information

It's my understanding WDFW plans to use the "Open Competitive" procedure to fill the warmwater manager position from which Brian Edie retired last month. This means anyone who has the listed qualifications can apply, including the general public. This process typically consists of (1) announcing the opening, (2) giving interested persons time to apply, (3) a closing date for applications, (4) reviewing the applications that were received, (5) interviewing candidates, and (6) making the selection. We should expect this to take several weeks at least. In keeping with the confidentiality of the state hiring process, I will not disclose any names of interested persons or applicants that I hear about, unless the person requests it.

There is not a better qualified person for this position than Bruce Bolding. His knowledge and passion for his work(he's doing the work of this position now)is admirable. He's got my vote.

Besides, he's a great musky fishing partner.

No argument with that from me, Mark. Bruce would get my vote. I want someone in this position who is familiar with warmwater fish, cares about warmwater fisheries, is easy to work with and is a good communicator. Bruce fulfills those attributes.
Bruce for sure
I agree, Bruce is a great guy.

But thats not a Musky he's holding there Mark.... I'll bring a picture tonight and show you what one looks like...
Bruce has my vote too. Maybe he could include a link to this thread in his resume.
Well first Bruce has to want to do it..but i'd vote for the guy for sure! My son says that he drives slow on I-90 so he'll need to speed up a little..lol
OK, I'll try to talk him into it.
