I had a limit and also didn't place. I had 6.22 lbs for my three. I had one little pounder I couldn't cull. I hooked 4 fish and lost 1, thats all the action my boat saw. Its funny you got your fish early because I didn't get bit until noon and then stuck 4 in two hours. Maybe I was too cold to feel the bites this morning! Hula Grubs on football heads in 45 feet caught all of my fish. Tried up to 25 feet and down to 60 and they all seemed to be stacked in 45. I think its a good thing I didnt get bit until noon because my livewell was frozen shut and I couldn't pry it open until 10 AM!! I learned a valuable lesson there this weekend...lol! It was an awesome tournament though..I had an awesome time and I really appreciate everyone who helped make this happen!

mike stalhman and I also got our limit but only weighed 6.28lbs. ended with two decent fish and one rat basically that we were unable to cull out. landed 5 fish today, but it was rough out there today...nothing like losing 4 of your first 5 fish. congrats to those that put together good bags, and you couldnt beat the weather for this febuary event.

Good to see it was a succesful event, unfortunately I was not there. Would have loved to go though!!!!

Who won the $1000 Big Fish?
Mike and I only caught 5 fish all day and weighed 3 for 8.35. Not even enough to make the money. Some guys whacked them early but we only had a dink untill like 11 then we caught 3 quick ones and our biggest fish 3.0 came at like 1:30. I personally don't like the 3 fish limit but it is a really fun tourney to fish. Looking forward to next year.
If anyone want's the GPS cordinates to where Eric, and his partner whacked 3 quick ones, you can put in a bid on E-bay tommorow....I'll even throw in the info as to what bait's they were using, what rods/reels they were using, how fast they were strolling, and what music they were listening to for free....starting bid will be $1200, so I can afford one of those 20" computer monitor screens like Eric has mounted in the front of his boat....good luck and J/K
John McHenry (member) won the big fish and big check. Good job John. Don't recall how big I think ist was around 4.85.

Chad little too close huh? Well, if you were the ones to catch the 3 fish and Eric was the one not catching any would you be making the same post? Just a suggestion catch all of them and not let the other guy catch any! Now the question is who had the fish and the spot "wired" as meaning who knew it better? The answer for this question is probably the person who caught the fish. I am not saying I am not trying to defend Eric I am justt pointing out if you were on top of the fish and new exactly were the fish were relating to the structure element you were fishing , then Eric would not have had a chance at catching any. This is one part of tournament fishing that I do not like but it is reality. Did you catch the Classic see how many boats were around the contenders?

Maybe I should put up for bid were Eric cut me off after we caught three fish and then played bumpers boats and we ended up catching two more. Oh Eric caught 0 . Part of the game I don't let it bother me I concentrate harder to hand out them ass whooping to the boat next door.

Importantly during tournament fishing we have to adjust our techniques not just to the fish, but to the competitiion as well!

Chad, hopefully your post is in good fun, and it sounds like it was. You know how many times that has happened to me? I can't count that high! In fact, Eric and his old partner in an ABA several years ago caught a pig in my prop wash on Lk Wa! Now that was a stupid fish.... Ron is dead on with his comments regarding T-fishing. Very few of us know what goes on at the pro level and I can only imagine. I have no problem telling people where I fish and what I'm doing because you still have to execute and catch 'em. By the way, that Plasma Eric has is the coolest thing I ever seen!
I'm not complaining one bit, it was a joke! It was a spot where there is 3 rock piles are within 100yard stretch. The fish were right on top of them. We had caught plenty of fish that morning. Eric, and his partner pulled up, and I positioned the boat between the two rock piles that were putting out. They fished around us, and started yankin em off the third one, and luckily for them, that rock-pile just happened to turn on, at that time. They did yank 3 quickly, but didn't bother me one bit, because that's fishing, and that's just how it is sometimes.

Yes, we did get a bit lucky landing on the X. How did you guys end up?
Hey Mike, welcome to the site! We ended up with 7.15. You guys beet us, but I'm used to getting smoked by Eric on that lake. It was just a bunch of 2-2.5lbers in that area, to bad we both couldn't of slopped into a few 4lbers. Are you and Eric fishing aba or Nwbass this year?

Thanks. No, Eric and I usually fish a couple of open tourneys every year. I end up fishing 2 or so NW T's and maybe 1 ABA with a friend in Moses Lake. We had pretty much the same fish as you guys but got a 3 with a couple of hours left. Ask Eric why my back hurts so much today!
